  • Cat Foster Carer

    URGENTLY NEEDED

    Provide a safe, temporary home for cats while they wait for adoption. Fosters receive support, guidance, and veterinary care through CDPA.

    Need to be within Dublin, Mead, or Kildare.

  • Kitty Profile Writer

    URGENTLY NEEDED

    Write clear, engaging profiles to help cats find the right homes. This role helps showcase each cat’s personality to potential adopters.

  • Kitty Match-Maker

    URGENTLY NEEDED

    Help match cats with the right adoptive homes by reviewing applications and supporting the adoption process.

    This role can be done remotely.

  • Dog Foster Carer



    Support a dog’s journey to a permanent home by fostering them in your care. Our team is with you every step of the way.

    Need to be within Dublin, Mead, or Kildare.

  • Rescue Helpline



    Be a first point of contact for people seeking help with cats or dogs in need. Volunteers provide information, guidance, and route enquiries to the appropriate team.

    This role can be done remotely.

  • Transport (North Dublin)

    Help by transporting cats and dogs to vet appointments, foster homes, or rescue locations in the North Dublin area.

    Access to a car is required.

  • Kitty Surrender Liaison

    Support people who need to surrender a cat by gathering information and guiding them through the process. This role helps ensure cats are placed safely and responsibly.

    This role can be done remotely.

  • Volunteer Match Maker

    Help match new volunteers with roles that suit their skills, availability, and interests. This role supports a positive experience for both volunteers and CDPA.

  • Kitty Equipment Admin

    Help manage and track cat-related equipment such as crates and traps. This role supports smooth foster and rescue operations.

Volunteer with CDPA

Volunteers are essential to the work CDPA does every day. By giving your time, you help us rescue, care for, and re-home cats and dogs across Ireland.

There are many ways to get involved, depending on your availability, location, and experience. Volunteer roles may include fostering animals, helping at events, assisting with transport, administration, fundraising, or community programmes.

You don’t need prior rescue experience — just reliability, compassion, and a willingness to help. We provide guidance and support to help you feel confident in your role.
